this is the ice cream maker i'd gotten for my husband a couple years ago...
when i bought him the ice cream maker, i got him the jeni's ice cream cookbook which has some fantastic recipes in it. jeni's started in my hometown, so i always love supporting local businesses - especially when they have such interesting flavors!
we decided to make coffee chocolate chip ice cream. so we made the basic ice cream base from jeni's cookbook and then flavored the ice cream with coffee and melted chocolate chips.
this is the ice cream base before adding in the coffee/chocolate mixture.
now it's coffee and chocolate flavored base!
throw it in the ice cream maker and let it work!
pour it out of the ice cream maker into a container to let freeze.
it turned out deliciously!
do you have any flavor recommendations that we should try? we love coming up with fun flavors and throwing things we have in the kitchen in to see how they work. this one was pretty basic... classic flavors that you can't really go wrong with, but i'd love to hear your ideas!
