Doors

After taking a look at my home decor Pinterest board, I noticed a number of painted doors in all kinds of fun colors.  Here are some of the fun ones I'd pinned.  Perhaps we should paint our front door.  It's currently black, but it looks nice with our black shutters.  What color door could I pair with black shutters and a beige house? There's a bit of stone on the front porch too.

How do you feel about colorful doors?  Would you do it in your home?  Do you prefer colorful outside or inside?

    1. That's what I'm really struggling with. I love them in theory, but I worry that I'd get sick of a color and end up not happy with it!

  2. I love them! But I agree, I might get tired of it. Especially a bright color. Maybe something darker or more neutral? but still different...

  3. I have a bright candy apple red door in my kitchen and I love it! But I really like pops of colour.

    I say go for it. My theory was I can always paint over it if I hate it (or buy a new door if I can't paint over the red) and I have never regreted it.

    1. You're right... I would just paint over it if it turned out to be a disaster. I just really hate painting so I would hope to only do it once! :) I love a bright red door, too! It's such a fun color.
